Tickets for Happy Days on Sale

Tickets are on sale now for the Uintah High Theatre production of Happy Days: A New Musical. The famed drive-in malt shop and No. 1 hangout, Arnold's, is in danger of demolition. So, the gang teams up to save it with a dance contest and a TV-worthy wrestling match. The show will run four nights only – April 29 to May 2. All performances start at 7 p.m. For tickets, visit uintah.ludus.com.

Celebrations

Uintah High recently completed the accreditation process, which looks at the whole school – from policies to learning conditions and cultural context – to determine how well the parts work together to meet the needs of every student.

Cognia accredits schools in the United States and conducted the accreditation at UHS, awarding our school an Index of Education Quality (IEC) score of 340. Cognia's IEQ network average is 296. An IEQ above 300 indicates that a school meets Cognia's expectations for accreditation.

 Great work, Utes!

Students from Uintah Middle School and Vernal Middle School did well at the 2025 Ritchey Science and Engineering Fair, which was held recently at Weber State University.

The following students received recognition for their science and engineering projects:

2nd place: David Pierce

3rd place: Sullivan Olson, Austin Taylor, and Shayanne Ulwelling

Excellent: Ellie Anderson, Sophie Batty, Orrin Gardiner, Megan Glazier, Cristin Halverson, Abbilyn Hill, Tyler Huber, Paisley Johnson, Madeline Keith, Melody Liebhardt, Cole Murphy, Josh Ottosen, Sam Pierce, Paizlee Seamons, Quinlee Seamons, Omner Sheffer, Morris Stewart, and Ember Zufelt

Honorable Mention: Claire Davies, Treyson Farrer, Fiona Faucher, and Nadia Wong.

Paizlee Seamons from VMS earned the Spirit Award.

Congratulations to these outstanding students and thanks to everyone who supports their interests in the sciences and engineering!

Congratulations as well to the Maeser Elementary Super Readers! They won the inaugural 3rd Grade Battle of the Books on Wednesday. The Uintah Cookies from Davis Elementary earned second place as a team, and the Discovery Elementary Foxy Readers finished in third place.

The three schools chose to compete against each other to find out who had retained the most information after reading a collection of 20 books. Each team was asked questions with specific details from the books. The team that correctly named the title and author of the book earned points. The competition was extremely close, with several rounds requiring tiebreakers.

Finally, congratulations to Uintah High wrestler Caden Young, who earned All-American status this past weekend. Young finished second in his weight class at the NHSCA Nationals in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
